Aptos Farmers Market
at Cabrillo College
Saturday mornings from 9am until noon stop by our booth at the Aptos Farmers Market and see our beautiful cats and adorable kittens. You can stop by for a visit or you can adopt and take home a new family member!
Starting Saturday, July 7 2018 we will be at the Aptos Farmers Market from 9am until 12pm.

Grants:
Thank you again to Jenny Wood and her grant writing skills! This year we received the following grants-
- In April we got $1500 from the Petco Foundation.
- PetSmart Charities gave us two grants totaling $2500 to advertise our adoption events for National Adoption Weekend in the months of September and November.
- Bissell Pet Foundation gave us a grant of $1050 for our spay/neuter program.
Special Events:
One great event this past year was the Bissel Clear the Shelters event on Saturday, March 18th. The Bissell Foundation sponsored the adoption fees for eight wonderful cats to find their forever homes! We were able to adopt out a few of our long term kitties and we were all so very happy at the end of the event! Go to our Success Stories page to read about Vala who had been with us since our beginning in 2014 and finally received her forever home! Yay!!!

Grants:
Our fabulous grant writer Jenny Wood strikes again! We have received the following grants for our lifesaving work from various foundations for 2016:
- The Petco Foundation has generously provided us with a grant in the amount of $2500
- Maddie's Fund has also given us a wonderful grant of $1000
Fun Stuff
This year we had an added bonus of $1000 by means of our adopters and friends at Casa Finkle. They named us as their local charity of choice for their float entry in the Capitola Begonia Festival and they won first place with their super cool entry. THANK YOU!
News 2015
Grants:
We want to give a big thanks to our grant writer Jenny Wood! She has been working hard this year to send applications to various charities and foundations on our behalf and the results have been great. We received the following grants in 2015:
- In May, the Petco Foundation gave us a grant of $2000 to help with our spay and neuter costs,
- In July, the Harris Foundation granted us $5000 to set up a critical care fund.
- In August we also got a grant from the Harris Foundation for our general care fund.
