Volunteer

Since our organization is run by non-paid volunteers that also have other commitments, we know how busy life can be. We try to take time out of our busy schedules to help those who otherwise can't help themselves. Because of our love for animals and the joy they give in return, we volunteer our time to make Four Paws to Love an animal rescue that not only saves animals, but gives people a chance to come together, share their knowledge and help their community. If you can spare a few hours of your valuable time, we have many opportunities and a great need for volunteers. See below for some different ways that you can help us save lives!

ADOPTION EVENTS

Help out at our adoption events Saturday afternoons or at the Aptos Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. You can help setting up and/or breaking down, transporting animals to and from the events or help show our animals to potential adopters.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Got computer skills? Help with data entry, social media or keeping information on our website up to date. Not computer savvy? We still use "snail mail"! Send out thank you cards, donation acknowledgments, correspondence or newsletters.

FOSTER PARENT

The most rewarding of all! We have kittens galore, but we also have adult cats, nursing mothers, dogs, puppies, and animals with special needs such as bottle babies and those animals that need some TLC before they can be adopted.

We at Four Paws to Love believe that volunteers should be appreciated and treated with dignity, after all, it is out of love for animals that we sacrifice our time. We know that there are many worthy organizations that you could spend your volunteer hours with, so if you choose to spend time with us we will do our best to make your time with us satisfying and worthwhile. We won't leave you on your own to figure it out. We want everyone to have a great experience so we provide training in all aspects of our programs. Feeling the joy of an animal in need find a loving forever home is certainly one of our most fulfilling rewards that we would love to share with you.
